NEW YORK

East 86th St
APARTMENT RENOVATION

2021

Located in the heart of the Upper East Side, this 3,000-square-foot apartment renovation was envisioned as a collection of elegant traditional spaces enriched by vibrant colors, refined detailing, and carefully integrated architectural lighting.

The formal living room is centered around a fireplace featuring a custom-fabricated stone mantel, creating a sense of warmth and quiet sophistication. An arched opening fitted with a concealed glass pocket door connects the living room to the family room, allowing the spaces to transition seamlessly between openness and privacy.

At the entrance foyer, custom-designed wallpaper and wainscoting paneling establish a layered and welcoming atmosphere, introducing the apartment’s distinctive material palette and decorative language from the very first moment.

The galley kitchen was fully renovated and redesigned to maximize both functionality and visual impact. Thoughtfully planned for everyday cooking and entertaining, the space features generous work areas and a custom marble hood finish that acts as a sculptural focal point within the room.

The apartment also includes two redesigned bathrooms, a renovated laundry room, and a reimagined primary suite with an enlarged bathroom designed to enhance comfort and spatial flow.

The office was conceived as both a workspace and a retreat, featuring a custom-built library that conceals a hidden door leading to a newly renovated bathroom. Filled with natural light, the room combines bespoke shelving, a reading bench, and a sofa to create an intimate and comfortable environment dedicated to work, reading, and quiet moments throughout the day.
